Hello everyone, I’d like to share a simply way to share IM2 internet connection between PC to Notebook / PC to PC/ Notebook to Notebook. Thoose are same way. In this case, my PC has connection through IM2 3.5 G and I will share it directly to my notebook. It just a simply peer to peer connection that use UTP cross cable, so I will not need any swith device or something. All you need just single UTP cross cable, and the huwaei modem of course for connection.
So the schema will be like this

Now we have to do is configure each machines
PC Configuration
Sharing IM2 Connection
-. Open Control Panel
-. Network Connections
-. Search connection named HUAWEI3G.indosatm2 then right clik -> point to properties
-. Advanced tab -> in Internet Connection Sharing section tick Allow other network users…..
-. Press OK.
TCP/IP Configuration (static configuration)
-. Open Control Panel
-. Network Connections
-. Double click Local Area Connection -> select properties
-. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and hit Properties
-. Set the IP manually to
IP Address : 192.168.1.1
Subnet : 255.255.255.0
Gateway : 192.168.1.1
DNS (P) : XXX.XX.X.XX (where X is your Huwaei Modem IP)
DNS (A) : 202.155.0.10 (Indosat DNS)
Notebook Configuration
TCP/IP Configuration
-. Open Control Panel
-. Network Connections
-. Double click Local Area Connection -> select properties
-. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and hit Properties
-. Set the IP manually to
IP Address : 192.168.1.2
Subnet : 255.255.255.0
Gateway : 192.168.1.1
DNS (P) : XXX.XX.X.XX (where X is your Huwaei Modem IP)
DNS (A) : 202.155.0.10 (Indosat DNS)
Now turn on your modem and make sure you already connected to the internet and plug the cross cable you had from PC to Notebook. Then happy browsing everyone.

As per January 9th, Windows enthusiast all around the world able to download Windows 7 through Windows.com page. I had downloaded for a night and its size is quite big, around 2.44 GB.
While the file completed I burn it out to DVD then installing to my pc. Previously Windows XP running on my pc, and now multibooted with Windows 7. If you use Windows Vista you may upgrade it, but not for Windows XP, you have to select custom mode while installation.
There are new feature that make me impressive. The taskbar is great, you dont have to use ctrl+tab anymore just point your mouse over the icon on the taskbar then active page will be show you up on thumbnail mode. Fantastic.

What amazing, its November already and 1 month left to go. Every new year will come we will flashback what we’ve done and what we’ve not. Ok, everyone has own goals, own resolutions. For me its something like what we have to do to reach your goal of life. If you have it, so do I. Every year I must be have new resolutions to take, even though not all what I’ve planned is running well at least I know what should have to do.
Now lets check it up what I have planned and see what I’ve done and what are not. This year I had some new plans, some of it is IT Pro certification, get a master degree, getting abroad: either for working or school, get a new workplace that I really want to, and fall in love. Mmh, the last one sounds amazing rite. Anyway in January, I take an MCTS exam, focus to Business Desktop Deployment and Alhamdulillah one mission completed, what’s next. Continuing my study to the next level is one of my goal since I was a undergraduate student. I know it wasn’t easy to pass this phase, and unfortunatelly I can’t reach this one, although I already have a great opportunity but I was failed. Its fine, I will prepare more and get another chance next year. I wish.
Now going abroad, in this goals I have two points to take. Its working or school, for school of course it depend to scholarship or something, and I was failed. While waiting to get another chance I try to focus to get a job abroad, I try applying to any suitable post that meet with my qualification. My target is still around asia, specially Singapore, even though I keep trying apply to UK as well :D. I have some offers, some of it are greats but not of all, until I have an offer from one of Oil and Gas company that stationed in Nigeria. Sound scary is it, but not for me. Its a challenge to take, and in the same time I have an offer from one of United Nations agency in Indonesia. I decide to join with UN, this is one of my postpone goals since I was in college and one of my goals in this year completed again. Thanks, this is great. The last one sounds great isn’t, everyone know what the love is, and what feel is. Alhamdulillah my goals reached again.
Now what’s next. I planned to take another exam, and this one is not easy. There are 4 exams to be taken to have this certification, and I only have 1 month to prepare and get the exam.
Bismillah, and wish me luck.

I just find a software that copy all website contents and you can view it offline. How come ? Simple, I use HTTrack Website Copier to copy all website contents, mostly tutorial website. You don’t have to save each page manually, it sucks isn’t. Just run the program then wait and you can view it offline.
HTTrack available in Windows version and Linux Version. Use it and review it.

Some organizations issued to block some site, applications such Instant Messenger, peer2peer, etc. They have many reasons to do, most of all is productivity, connectivity, and many issue. For example, everyone must be know well what Instant Messenger is, and I bet most of you use this stuff either to keep in touch with your friends or just type your keyboard to chit-chat.
Ok, your organization that you work for, issued to block any Instant Messenger applications such mostly IM that uses are Yahoo! Messenger, Google Talk, MSN. Ok your superior instructed to block that applications including IM that run in browser and client. Take these actions on your firewall
To communicate Google Talk client uses Port 80, 443, 5223, and 5222. Google Talk also connects to 216.239.37.125, 72.14.253.125, 72.14.217.189 and 209.85.137.125. Or you can deny these address http://talk.google.com http://www.google.com/talk. To disable users to use Gtalk in Gmail, you can set deny rule to this address http://chatenabled.mail.google.com. (FYI, blocking 80 and 443 ports will unable to access HTTP and HTTPS based)
Yahoo! Messenger services runs at port 5050, 5150. Anyway it seem blocking YM through port is not effective, YM will scan any available port and use different one. However, some user can use YM through Yahoo! Mail, if so you can deny these address webcs.msg.yahoo.com and httpcs.msg.yahoo.com (both are DNS . Your user will see a disconnection error if they attempt to connect to chat.
MSN Messenger tries to use port 1863/TCP you may block that port. FYI, port 1863 is MSNP (Microsoft Notification Protocol), used by the .NET Messenger Service and a number of Instant Messaging clients. You can deny access to messenger.hotmail.com, msgr.hotmail.com, gateway.messenger.hotmail.com.
Windows Live Messenger use 6891–6900/TCP,UDP (use for file transfer), and 6901/TCP,UDP (for Voice). Set them deny !!.
For AOL you may block port 5190/TCP, 531/TCP,UDP and prevent access to AOL DNS at login.oscar.aol.com
Some organization have limited bandwith, even your bandwith is limited but you have freak users that use peer2peer application or either use Google Earth in work hour. No wonder if you have only 128 MB bandwith use for emails, applications, and your user use Google Earth. Heres some actions to deny access to unwanted application.
To prevent access to Google Earth, you may deny access to http://kh.google.com
4662/TCP often used by Emule, you can deny access to that port.
BitTorent often use these port so you can deny access to 6881–6887/TCP,UDP, 6889–6890/TCP,UDP, 6891–6900/TCP,UDP, 6901/TCP,UDP, 6902–6968/TCP,UDP, 6969/TCP, 6970–6999/TCP,UDP
LimeWire (I use to) use 6346/TCP,UDP. Set your deny rule to it.

After take some pack we use angkot to the site and get some preparation. Rana decided to not come in. He just take some pictures to us. Thx anyway Ran. Before leave we briefed by Arus Liar instructor, and Imran says “anybody please translate what he say”. Hehehe, the instructor speech in Bahasa and he don’t get it at all. “What is boom.. Majuu.. Mundurr… go the right go to the left”… Hahaha, I bet you will get it soon dude. Just watch what we do.. Hahaha..
Cicatih have 20 rapids, we have 3 hours to take and Mr. Komar who holds the boat. He know well the rapids, (”la iya lah, masa la iya dong, Mulan aza Jameela bukan Jameedong”) just follow what he says and you’ll save. Each rapids have own name, most of it represent rapids its self or what happened on it. Its name sounds weird, name are Blender Rapids, Jontor Rapids, Asmara Rapids, weird isn’t.
We’ve got 7 person including guide. Sinta and Gayu husband take in front, Dayu and Gayu in the middle side and Me with Imran as backup :D, of course Mr. Komar who holds us take a place behind. On the middle of the trip we take a break and get Bakwan together with Kelapa Muda, then we continue and about 10 rapids left. It seem all team member so enthusiast to oar it, what about me ? Hehhee, I just watch it, and make sure they oar with well. Actually I act to oar. Hohohoh. Besides they looks well, and I’m too sleepy anyway.
When we arrived, Rana has prepare his equipments with well to take some pictures (hehehe). After take some pose, we ask Rana to use rafting equipments and take some photos with us. Sinta take place beside Rana and then BYARRR take him into the water.. Hahaha, now everyone get wet. After change our clothes and get some food, we’ve got certificate. Yeaaaa !!! its graduation time.. Hehhe.
Before going back to Jakarta we plan to go to Pelabuhan Ratu. Mr. Komar told to us only 30 minutes to take. We not counting the time, but it seem we take more than 30 minutes. I bet there’s a different perception about 30 minutes between Komar and Us. Heheh.. When arrived we take another photos.. Whattt !!! Againn.. Of course, even one of us take a pose grabbing a corals like Spidey. Haha. Who’s that ?? I won’t say, but Rana take candid shot when we laughing each other while watching her pose. Hahahaha, common shows us.. Hahaha..We leaving Pelabuhan Ratu about 5-6 pm, and arrived on Jakarta at 10:30 pm.
I think we admit that was a nice trip, so what’s next
Photos are taken without permission from Sinta’s, Rana’s and Imran’s Facebook.

Hello there. For last three days I had training and guess what, I go online just for today. Actually on Wednesday I’m online just for checking emails, and some browsing for a minute but not for all day like Ive done before. Training become bothered, the topic was hot (as fuel price lately) but the trainers not mastering the topic. Unified Communication was the topic on the training that I take for, I had seen the UC demo when I go FastTrack Academy on December 2007. First impression about UC was nice, me and my friend told “what a great innovation”. Then I’ve got an invitation to take this training and reserve for a seat but all my expectation (I bet person near me agree with me) was gone when the trainer can’t improve the topic, he’s only follow what instructed on the hand out. How come !!, we have to handle anythings happen on the field. And he can’t answer troubleshooting question. Give me a break !!
At the end on last day all participants must fill out the training evaluation, its all about the topic, trainer, and when will implement the topic. Some of participants near me fill dissatisfy with the trainer.
More practice, just not doing on the book.

Huuh, what do you feel if you in the office on Sunday. Yeaa, that totally me rite now. As usual, Sunday is my day off like anyone other. But when I was preparing any applications and any other things for business trip tomorrow, all system on my computer crashed out and I have to fix it. After the computer going well, another problem come. External hard drive that I take for is unreadable, Windows detected there’s a problem with the hard drive, and instructed to check the disk. Hard drive that I take is old stuff, but I had tested anyway, and nothing happen. You know what after I run chkdsk, all data has gone. I revise, not all data, only 1 directory left and I know that’s corrupted directory. I tried anything, but seem nothing better to do than go to the office then take the master data from my computer. Cause my flight is to early, 7 am will take off. 7 am that’s sucks isn’t it.
I decided to not taken the external hard drive, is not worth it anyway. After call my office mate, just want to make sure that is latest update applications then I backed up all materials that I need to the CD and any devices include upload to the site. For just in case dude. I don’t want trouble happen to me at the site.
Arrgggghh… Yea rite, shit happen on Sunday!!!
