Yesterday, I had follow an short course about Enterprise Resource Planning that offered by my program. This course delivered by Dr. Saputro, an ERP Expert. He’s Indonesian ERP Expert teaching in University of Wiconsin. Actually this is my first time I follow his couse, since other student has been took his online course last semester. Since Dr. Saputro visiting Jakarta, he’d like invite us to his course at our campus to share ERP to us, however currently UI offiicialy become a SAP University Alliance. This mean UI able to provide the exam. The course has limited seat, since the computer lab unable to cover all first grade students, and I’m the one who lucky who have his class. During the class he deliver the course in English, such a international class or even we felt in the University of Winconsin class :d, wonderfull.
The ERP concept, SAP and his experiences fundamentally supplemented to us then follow creating groups which one group has 4 member and run the games about business competition using SAP, with the simulator of course. We have 10 groups and compete each other, the case study about mineral water company that use SAP. Begin determining the prices, the advertising cost, distribute to the regions, monitor the average prices, monitoring group stocks, request the stocks, tracking the PO’s and each group member has each function to be ran. All of those business process used by one application, the modules integrated each other and that’s what the ERP use for.
He also wrote a ERP book and have’nt complete yet. His told us the prices around US$ 1500, pretty much expensive for students like us :d. One of us asking him to have one copy and he will give us if he have another copy from the publisher, but he promise will be present one copy to Ibu Putu. In our mind at least we can copy that one, hihi, I think its fine for him in case for academic purposes.
To have SAP certification we have to pass the exam , this phase for general step such a Medicine Doctor who take care general matter for the SAP and we can continue to be speciallize. One of the rare specialization is Administration, such a payroll and he told if you want to be specialized in SAP you have to take that to have more money. He told us in SAP company such PT SAP Indonesia, there are many foreigner become a SAP Experts and they take our money, and he motivate us to take all back and he assure all of us able to have it. As his share in the US he have to give the contracts to be sign by the student who take the exam preparations with him. In the contract all the student will only be conduct these activities which are sleep, eat and studying for 10 weeks forward and the investment for the preparation course around US$ 6000 plus US$ 500 to have a voucher exam. I think I can buy used car or even propose housing loan, no no no. We dont have to think about that if we want to reach succes. Keep studying more harder, Insya Allah you will have best result ever more.
So, are you ready.

Time flies so fast, it seem yesterday I wrote down my reflections and now we are in the end of the year to writing again reflections to be evaluate, be grateful to the Great Allah SWT for what I’ve get, writing new resolutions and request His bless to reach the new one.
Last year, I’ve plan to take another professional certification and I didnt take it, it was my fault I’m not able to manage my time such I’ve do before to take preparation. Fine, its a postpone goals to be reach. Around March-April I was prepare for Police Academy entrance test since I was failed in 2008, but this year I even can’t get a number test since failed in first physical checking, its funny . Another postpone resolutions is to get graduate school abroad, I can’t get my graduate in abroad but I was thankful has passed in graduate entrance test in Computer School University of Indonesia, is a one of best predicate Computer School in Indonesia and has started in the middle of the year. Alhamdulillah.
I just realize, my resolutions is not much as I thought :d. Some unplanned plans that I’m doing is taking civil service entrance test, but fortune is not on my side although I reached the final steps in some institutions such a Civil Service Agency and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. Such a Software Quality Assurance in my course I have defect prevention strategy (hey, is not software process), since I now what things makes me failed.
Now my time to write down my wishes, my resolutions and other things to do. First of all is being a good person than before and having more patience. Secondly, since all final exams and assignments has finished I wish have a good grade for this semester, and my resolutions is to find a way to complete my master course in three semester hopefully will be graduate in the end of 2010. May Allah give His way for this resolution, I just always take my hands up and praying as much as I can, amien. Hopefully what I’ve learn will be useful to others.
Another resolutions is being pass in civil service entrance test and become an civil service such some of my friends was, become the good one of course. Some my friends had taken off their single and married, the rest has engaged, and some still being single (single means had relationship). I don’t want still single as the last one, no body want it. Get married, Insya Allah :p. What else, this year I was impressed with Blazer either made by Opel or Chevrolet since two friends of mine had bought this vehicle. Such a FBI Agent while riding it, hopefully I can buy this one. What about house ? actually I have plan about it, and still thinking wich one to be take, vehicle or take a housing credit. Or having a new job that able to facilitate those things. I think that’s a smart way to have both without spent some money.
The rest wishes are began quit smoking and start some exercise to burn some fats. Is it a lot of wishes ? its fine better none than at all.
May Allah listen all of my wishes, resolutions and my plan above and give His great bless. Amien.
Give and do the best you have to get the best one that you wish for. Happy New Year 2010, even though we’re in new year already.

Today Indonesia was mourning and put the national flag at half-mast as President instruction. Since we know our Former President KH. Abdurrahman Wahid known as Gus Dur was passed at the end of December, yesterday on December 30th 2009, around 6 am at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM). As of media, since Friday he was hospitalized due to fatigue and his sugar level was rising. Even though he still came to his office at PBNU Head Office near to the hospital to meet his colleagues, checking reports and mail.
During his lifetime, he was known as a president, politician, religious leader with loyal supporter, a scholar and father of pluralism in Indonesia. With all predicate he had, he still have great sense of humor and everybody know his unique remarks such “gitu aja koq repot”. Thats a Gus Dur trademark, and we will missed it.
With the deepest condolence, we should pray may Allah SWT give him better place at His side and may his soul rest in peace and may all Indonesian bear this loss with courage. Amien

Tonite, I had follow Database Technology System final exam and has review after the class was close. I try to make score predictions, since the lecturer gave us the correct answer at the end of exam. There are 3 section at the questions, 1st True/False; 2nd Short Essay, 3rd Essay. All the answers of 1st-2nd section available in the course slides, for essay we have to make improvement. Is not hard, but now easy as well :p. Sql syntax, query tree, and indexing strategies was the question at the 1st essay, and follow with star scheme and data mining. Well, I try to made prediction based on his correction as follow:
- Section 1: 10 point = 8 (false 1)
- Section 2: 20 point = 20
- Section 3: 25 point = 10 (false at the c:Indexing)
- Section 4: 20 point = 20
- Section 5: 25 point = 12 (false at the a:2 and 3 item set)
Total = 70
Huaaa, I had only 70. I made big mistakes at section 5, at the first my answer at the 3a was correct untill friend of mine told me that the instruction is to made candidate of 2 item set and 3 item set, so I describe all the answer with same result at the end. I try to made confirmation with the lecturer about my answer at section 3a and he told me “thats wrong, its your fault” and I loose 13 point, should be my score will be around 80. Forget it beside my predictions above assumed all my answer at the section 2 and 4 was correct if its not you will know the result around 60 will coming.
Hopefully I have good grade for this course. Fight for the 2 last exams, GANBATTE !!!

tonite I took my first course, and the course was about data base technology system. first meet reviewing data base concept it self. since our students has multi background so the course review the data base concept. The title was about reviewing, but its not only review the basic concept of the data base, not only me most of us was confuse. I can see from their face, playing their gadgets, finishing job deadline, etc . Maybe some students understand about topic that delivered, shown by questions that asked. sometimes the questions beyond of the materials. Its fine, eveyone has a rights to ask, they paid as we are.
At the first time the lecturer tell us about the book that will be use on this course. the book is Data Base Systems, by Thomas Connolly, 4th edition. I even never touch that books. heheh. Anyway, first met was about Entity Relationship Modelling, and Enhanced Entity Relationship Modelling. this topics delivering around designing a program, desinging data model, enhancing data model etc. actually is not clear enough for me, since we dont have the slide/material so I have to writing down to my note book manually.
Anyway, it seem interesting even tough I must learn hard for this courses. Yea, everyone does.
My suggestion is get sleep earlier as you can, before you facing assignment and assignment at next week.

Hell yeah, as usual on the day off I have nothing to do with. Just surf deep inside through the cables, doing site walking, leave some comments such a sux routinity that should be faced every week days, and Lee Riteneour keep playing on the winamp . Anyway, time flies now we’re in day 8th Ramadhan we have about 3 weeks left to go. Thanks God this noon the sun hiding behind the clouds up there, even though I feel a bit of hot but its not that bad such a previous day.
While watching one channel, this show about seeking a couple. There are around 20th women stands up will vote one guy as a contestant. If you are lucky they will vote you up and you will take her out. Otherwise if they wont vote, you have nothing to take out. Talking about the single persons who find to become a couples on that show, I just wonder will have a soulmate then take her to the next level, have a little family, take them out every week days, sounds nice isn’t but when ?I dunno when, but I will. Let time will answer, my duties is keep praying, and wishing Allah will give me the best one.
Since most of my best friends taking decision to engage or either get married even some already have a child but I take study to graduate school. A friend of mine leave a comment like this “dont forget to your incumbency, dont loose it buddy”. Off course I will not forget about that, I will reach my goals one by one. Everyone have priority to do, graduate school is one of my nearest goal to do, then jobs and marriage of course. I just dont want to waste my time, I will take anything infront my eyes, and keep praying and moving at the same time. I think it will be wonderful eventhough not everybody would aggree.
Its still 3 pm anyway, we have 3 hours left. Happy fasting everyone !!

I just went my first class in my graduate school. even though little bit confuse about the definitions that I never heard before, but I’m trying hard to focus to the materials that delivered by the lecturer. do I look confuse ?yup, a little bit. exactly I’m not confidence enough, since my background from social sciences now I took master of information technology. I was scare when seeing courses lists that will be take. but never mind, since I know not only me in this class who have different background.
first topic that delivered was about enterprise architecture as a strategy. actually this is interesting topic that tell about strategies, future environment architecture and implementation of the system. around two hours talking about the topic then second topic delivered by the MTI head program, and now telling us about the academic, major competencies, e-learning portal, tuition fees and minor major that will be take by the students. basically MTI has four concentration to be take, which are
- Software Engineering
- Enterprise Stream
- IT Governance
- Information Management
concentration will be take on 3rd semester. ideally each students must choose one concentration as listed above, each concentration consist of 4 courses to take (exclude thesis of course). in other conditions we can mix the courses from different concentration, i.e 2 courses from software engineering, and the rest from others. if students complete 4 courses from one concentration, he/she will have completion certificate of concentration that take. otherwise, if students mix the courses he/she will not have certificate of the concentration. and my interest is in enterprise stream, since the courses will be around infrastructure and networking, its hard but it must be fun.
one thing that I impressive is MTI has a long distance learning program where the program runs at Palembang at the same time which connected by the video conference. its a great isn’t.
go MTI, take us to the qualified resources, so we can build up this country to be better than others.

Hello everyone, I’d like to share a simply way to share IM2 internet connection between PC to Notebook / PC to PC/ Notebook to Notebook. Thoose are same way. In this case, my PC has connection through IM2 3.5 G and I will share it directly to my notebook. It just a simply peer to peer connection that use UTP cross cable, so I will not need any swith device or something. All you need just single UTP cross cable, and the huwaei modem of course for connection.
So the schema will be like this

Now we have to do is configure each machines
PC Configuration
Sharing IM2 Connection
-. Open Control Panel
-. Network Connections
-. Search connection named HUAWEI3G.indosatm2 then right clik -> point to properties
-. Advanced tab -> in Internet Connection Sharing section tick Allow other network users…..
-. Press OK.
TCP/IP Configuration (static configuration)
-. Open Control Panel
-. Network Connections
-. Double click Local Area Connection -> select properties
-. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and hit Properties
-. Set the IP manually to
IP Address : 192.168.1.1
Subnet : 255.255.255.0
Gateway : 192.168.1.1
DNS (P) : XXX.XX.X.XX (where X is your Huwaei Modem IP)
DNS (A) : 202.155.0.10 (Indosat DNS)
Notebook Configuration
TCP/IP Configuration
-. Open Control Panel
-. Network Connections
-. Double click Local Area Connection -> select properties
-. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and hit Properties
-. Set the IP manually to
IP Address : 192.168.1.2
Subnet : 255.255.255.0
Gateway : 192.168.1.1
DNS (P) : XXX.XX.X.XX (where X is your Huwaei Modem IP)
DNS (A) : 202.155.0.10 (Indosat DNS)
Now turn on your modem and make sure you already connected to the internet and plug the cross cable you had from PC to Notebook. Then happy browsing everyone.
Hopefully helpfull.
